Whitney to sing for Russian oligarchs?
According to Pravda.ru Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Justin Timberlake will sing for Russian oligarchs on special luxurious plane.

Russian oligarchs plan to repeat last year’s festivities. In the very beginning of 2006 they joined an Arab sheikh on board his luxurious plane. They traveled to the Antarctic in a company of US singer Tina Turner. For 2007 they are to board the “Flying Titanic” too to enjoy a pool, a game of bowling and super first class dinner in a plane restaurant. Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Justin Timberlake will be entertaining the VIPs during the flight. The powers-that-be will land in Iceland where they will be comfortably accommodated in a castle of ice surrounded by the scenery from The Lord of the Rings movie. The luxury plane will be carrying 160 passengers in total. The cheapest ticket for only three days costs 125,000 euros. The most expensive one is evaluated at 700,000 euros. Jennifer Hudson in interview with TV Guide was asked about Whitney Houston:

TV Guide: You recently signed with producer Clive Davis. He's doing an album with your idol, Whitney Houston. Any chance you'll work together?
Hudson: Oh, my god! I would love that. I'm sure gonna bring it up!

In another interview Jennifer said she would love to have Whitney Houston on her debut album:

She recently signed an album deal with recording impresario Clive Davis. They start recording next month for scheduled release in June. "I just know I want it to be filled with a lot of soul, and I want to have Whitney (Houston) on it," she says, crossing her fingers. [canoe.ca]

Whitney named top U.S. diva by Logo viewers
Logo has unveiled the top diva of all time male and female as selected by visitors to its Web site who had 45 videos to choose from. After five weeks of voting, Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right But It's OK" ended up on top, defeating Madonna's "Vogue" and Patti LaBelle's "New Attitude." The top 10 vote-getters' videos will air December 17 during "Dreamgirls Presents: Ultimate Diva Weekend," which includes movies, comedy acts, and music videos on the Logo channel. "Few competitions inspire more passion among LGBT people than a battle of the divas," Lisa Sherman, Logo's senior vice president and general manager, said in a press release. December is shaping up to be a busy month for songwriter/producer Sean Garrett. The man behind Beyoncé's "Check on It" and Chris Brown's "Gimme That" will hit the studio with R. Kelly on Friday in Chicago and plans to work with the R&B artist through Monday. Then Garrett is off to Atlanta, where he'll collaborate with Whitney Houston from Tuesday through December 14. The producer will also reteam with Chris Brown in a New York studio from December 15-19. ... [mtv.com]

R&B producer Sean "The Pen" Garrett is a hit-maker for sure. The four-time Grammy nominee has taken the top three spots on Billboard's Hot 100 chart three straight weeks with Nelly's "Grillz," Chris Brown's "Run It" and Beyoncé's "Check on It". Whitney's Comeback Record To Be A 'Celebration'
Whitney Houston is set to record with super-producer and artist Akon. Speaking backstage at the Billboard Music Awards Akon (Aliaune Thiam) said he's met with the singing powerhouse who has been looking to him for advice on her comeback. "With her it's more like 'What direction do you think I should go?' and me coming in and making suggestions," he said. "She's been through a lot and people know it. She's at a whole other stage now where I feel like she's been there and she's coming out of it." Akon, who recently worked with Gwen Stefani and Elton John says he's hoping to bring a brighter sound to Whitney's new music. "My personal thing is I want to do more up-tempo records to kind of get her away from the whole situation of the dark side. So it's more like a celebration that she survived that," he enthused. "I feel like if she embraces that part of her and brings all that stuff into the records, I think it'll be huge because people wanna hear that story. From what people been hearing outside in the press -- he said/she said, I think if it came from her, and people actually heard it coming out on a record I think it would be huge."
As for how Whitney is doing? The producer said the star is getting ready for her comeback. "She's doing great," Akon said. "She's in the gym, she's moving around and gaining some weight." [Access Hollywood]
Senegalese R&B artist Akon will be working on tracks for new Whitney's album, in interview with Billboard he said: "I'm working on more uptempo records for her," he says. "She's been through a lot and has a dark history. So we've got to make the album brighter because she's come out of the cave now. She wants a celebration. She dumped Bobby, she looks better than she has in years, and, at press time, she hadn't announced any embarrassing new reality TV ventures. But is Whitney Houston actually ready for a comeback? According to her mentor, BMG exec Clive Davis, the former chart-topper will roll into the studio next January to record at least five new tracks. "I'm sensing a real, clear-eyed desire to record again," says Davis. "And so far, I'm extremely excited by the material we have." That includes tunes from songwriters and producers like R. Kelly, Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin (who co-wrote Mariah's monster 2005 hit "We Belong Together"), and Sean Garrett ("London Bridge," "Goodies," "Yeah!"). But just a sec, we've been here before: Houston's last studio album, 2002's Just Whitney..., fizzled, producing no hits and selling a mere one million copies. "Well, that's the only album that she and I didn't work on," laughs Davis. "This is going to be pure Whitney." Houston's Atlanta-area home up for sale
Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston's Atlanta-area home is still up for sale after being advertised for foreclosure. Houston's five-bedroom Alpharetta home had been advertised for sale earlier this fall, but the foreclosure was not carried out, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in a correction of a story published Friday. The earlier story said the house had been sold in a foreclosure sale.
Wachovia Mortgage Corp. officials and Houston's attorney confirmed Friday that the singer still owns the home she shared with husband Bobby Brown.
"There has not been a foreclosure sale, and the account is currently in good standing," said David Oliver, a Wachovia spokesman.
Houston attorney Mark Trigg told The Associated Press that the mortgage is current and the house remains in her name.
"It's now for sale by Ms. Houston at terms that are acceptable to her," Trigg said Friday. Houston and Brown bought the home north of Atlanta in 2003 for $1.1 million. In the meantime, Houston's New Jersey mansion is slated to be sold at a sheriff's sale because she is more than $1 million behind on the mortgage and taxes have not been paid this year. In September, Houston filed for divorce from Brown after a 14-year marriage. She remains in Los Angeles, where she is working on a new album. [AP]

Houston's home not sold at foreclosure
Wachovia Mortgage Corp. officials and Whitney Houston's Atlanta attorney Mark Trigg each confirmed Friday that the singer still owns her Country Club of the South home in north Fulton County. Houston has the house up for sale. There has not been a foreclosure sale and the account is currently in good standing,? said David Oliver, Wachovia Vice President for Corporate Communications for Georgia. He declined to say when the outstanding payments had been made. Trigg said that a foreclosure had been advertised by Fulton County this fall but was not carried out. In online and print editions Thursday and Friday, the AJC erroneously reported that the home had been sold at a foreclosure sale Nov. 7. [AJC.COM]

Whitney and family to record song for Tyler Perry movie
Singer to join mama Cissy and cousin Dionne on soundtrack for ‘Daddy’s Little Girls.' Producer Damon Elliott, the son of singing legend Dionne Warwick, has managed to get his mother and famous cousins – Whitney and her mother Sissy Houston – in the studio to record a track for the new Tyler Perry film, “Daddy’s Little Girls.” The song, entitled "Family Comes First,” will feature all three of the family members and is the first announced song from the soundtrack. The movie stars Gabrielle Union as a successful attorney who falls in love with a financially challenged mechanic (Idris Elba) who is a single father of three children. The relationship hits a snag when the janitor's ex-wife comes back into his life and threatens to take away their kids. Explaining the significance of bringing family together to record “Family Comes First,” Elliott says: “Our goal is to blossom the challenges of life into a rainbow of music and we're the perfect family unit to do so."
